Brenna Kolstad, owner of bkcoordination, launched her small business in 2025. Brenna moved to Ely, MN with her fiance (then girlfriend) in 2022. Several years later, they decided to make the town their home and that’s when bkcoordination began. After noticing gaps that non-profits and city workers couldn’t fill, Brenna decided to take initiative to organize with small business owners, entrepreneurs and local leaders to meet the community’s needs.
bkcoordination seeks to unite community members with community resources. Connections are forged through workshops, seminars, potlucks and other gatherings involving education, technology, social skills, event planning and more. This simple concept establishes links between our locals and our local economy here in the Vermilion Range.
